Ingredients
Scale
Biscuits
- 1 can of buttermilk biscuits
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Apple Filling
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Icing
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a pan or skillet to prevent sticking during baking.
- Prepare Sugar Mixture: In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg evenly to ensure the spices are well distributed.
- Coat Biscuits: Dip each buttermilk biscuit into the melted butter, ensuring all sides are coated, then roll each biscuit in the sugar and spice mixture. Arrange the coated biscuits evenly in the greased pan.
- Prepare Apple Filling: Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and mix it with the vanilla extract to infuse a rich vanilla flavor. Spread the apple filling evenly over the top of the coated biscuits.
- Finish Topping: Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over the apple-topped biscuits and drizzle the remaining melted butter on top for extra flavor and crispness.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes or until the biscuits turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Make Icing & Serve: While the biscuits bake, mix the confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth to create a sweet glaze. Drizzle this icing over the warm biscuits once they come out of the oven for a delicious finishing touch.
