Description

This Easy Sloppy Joe Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer that combines the comforting flavors of classic sloppy joes with creamy cheese for a delicious baked dip. Perfect for parties or game day, it’s simple to make with ground beef, Manwich sauce, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese, baked until bubbly and golden.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 (15-oz) cans Manwich sloppy joe sauce
  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain off any excess fat to reduce greasiness.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, two cans of Manwich sloppy joe sauce, softened cream cheese, and 1½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Assemble the Dip: Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Then sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the Manwich sauce with your favorite sloppy joe sauce if desired.
  • For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced baguette for dipping.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
