Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Batter
- 1 box strawberry cake mix (about 15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries (optional)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 drops red or pink food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Mix Batter: In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until a thick batter forms. Fold in the chopped fresh strawberries and white chocolate chips if you choose to include them.
- Bake Brownies: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool Brownies: Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan to ensure the glaze adheres well.
- Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and food coloring if using, until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Glaze and Set: Drizzle or spread the glaze over the cooled brownies evenly. Allow the glaze to set before slicing the brownies into squares.
Notes
- These brownies have a fudgy and chewy texture rather than cakey.
- Omit fresh strawberries for a smoother texture or use freeze-dried strawberries to add crunch.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
